Quick Questions

PC or console

If you ask me now, PC. If you asked me when I was a kid, it would be console hands down. Nothing better than the PlayStation 1 and 2 eras.

Go-to karaoke song

You wouldn’t catch me dead singing karaoke.

Favorite HITMAN location?

Dartmoor – England. Because it was the first map I worked on when I started working at IO Interactive, so it has a special place in my heart. Also, the dark moody vibes of the map coupled with the complexity of the murder mystery really makes it a stand-out map in my opinion.

Meal that reminds you of childhood

My parents’ homemade lasagna.

What's your secret superpower?

It wouldn’t be secret if I told you, would it?

Most and least favorite items on your desk

Most favorite: My cup of coffee or whatever snack the cafeteria is offering on a particular day.
Least favorite: All the dust that keeps reappearing on my desk.

Something you wish you knew more about

How to keep all types of plants alive. I keep unintentionally smothering them with too much love.

Recommend three books, games or movies

Three books:
1. A Monster Calls’ by Patrick Ness
2. Vicious by V.E. Schwab
3. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick

Deeper Questions

What do you do at IOI?

I am currently the lead QA on Project 007. So, long story short, I keep the grand overview of everything that needs to be tested on the project; whether it’s by me, the other awesome internal QA Specialists, or externally by our QA partners.

Can you tell us more about yourself?

I recently bought a small house with my husband, so I’ve re-discovered how nice it can be to keep a garden tidy. I’ve always been a bit of a nerd, particularly when it comes to video games and anime/manga. Used to put a lot of time into the Danish anime/manga convention scene. I also love writing and it used to be a childhood dream of mine to become an author. Now, I just write for fun.

What's your daily source of inspiration?

I think I find inspiration from multiple sources. Whether it be music, writing/reading, my colleagues and friends, art etc. Depends on my mood what gets my creativity flowing on a particular day.

Why are you passionate about what you do?

Knowing that my work will have a direct impact on people playing our games. I also just think it is both fun and challenging to be the last line of defense in the development of a game. We are basically the voice of the players, highlighting any issues no matter where in the game it might appear, to ensure the game turns out as polished as possible.

What projects do you work on outside of work?

I do like an occasional 1.000-piece puzzles while listening to an audiobook. Since I bought a house recently, I also have a fair share of projects concerning the house still, such as getting a new fence put up, figuring out what to put on our many naked walls, etc.

What's your most memorable IOI moment?

When we released HITMAN 3. Felt very surreal to finally see what you had worked on for so long be released to the masses. Then it was obviously a huge plus that it was positively received as well.

What's the best bit of advice you've ever been given?

I tend to overthink a lot, so my husband tells me to not stress about the things we can’t change. Which is a really good piece of advice, if you can take it to heart and actually act on it as well.
