What do you do at IOI?

Here at IOI I am an artificial intelligence programmer. I help to develop the behaviors and details of the enemies, allies and everything related to artificial intelligence in the game.

Can you tell us more about yourself?

I’m a very relaxed person, and I like to take everything with humor if it is appropriate. I love to learn new things and I am always trying to improve myself. Also, I love dogs.  

What's your daily source of inspiration?

I like to go online and read about new game mechanics, AI behaviors or game concepts on forums. I love to see prototypes from people making their dream games and I love to read books and articles about programming and game design.

Why are you passionate about what you do?

What I love most about my work is when people get to enjoy what I have made. It’s about creating fun, exciting and challenging experiences. I’m always looking for new ways of delivering these emotions to the player. 

What projects do you work on outside of work?

Outside of work I like to write and design stories, game ideas, new mechanics and craft ideas. It could be a video game, board game or just a mechanic idea but I love to design different things outside of work.  

What's your most memorable IOI moment?

I met the love of my life at IOI Malmö on my first day of work!!

What's the best bit of advice you've ever been given?

I don’t know if it counts as advice, but I think that the best quote that I’ve ever seen is: “Growth happens when you do things that you are not qualified to do”. I think this is a really cool quote and I think that we should all try to get out of our comfort zones to get to where we want to be.
